MARY CROSS: IS Classic Soul.

Few artists are the very definition of a generational talent. Mary Cross is one of them. From smooth Jazz to Classic Soul & RNB her voice takes you on a journey. Whether on repeat or the next song on the playlist…sit back and relax while she utters a personal serenade.

Mary is a highly sought-after independent artist with a unique, instantly identifiable contralto vocal instrument. Known to many radio presenters as the ‘Mother of Cool Smoke’ she celebrates LOVE with her highly anticipated release titled: ‘PROMISE’. This classic jazz-soul ballad takes its time to deliver...leaving listeners yearning for more. Mary rides the melody perfectly bellowing low registry vocal tonalities reminiscent of the late, great Phyllis Hyman.

Mary’s latest single (Promise) features Saxophone great Carl Cox (touring with Maysa/Incognito) continues to rise on the Jazz and Soul charts both domestically and abroad and was a #1 Amazon UK release!

She continues to perform at a wide array of venues including Country Clubs, Universities, Casinos, Jazz Fests, Healthcare facilities, Community, state and local government organizations, private, public, profit and not-for-profit agencies.

Mary’s mission statement is simply 2NspireU. This was the goal long before she founded the 2NspireU band. She lives by this phrase in every aspect of her life.

What gives her the most joy is her connection with audience members.

Whether recording music or performing live/virtually, Mary’s one NON-NEGOTIABLE is to give quality…her very best at every performance. (She once performed a one night, one show concert for $10 that was SOLD OUT and lasted 3 hours with one 15 minute break!

Mary has rave reviews and comments from fans and those who have booked her for performances.

Mary’s message: “I will never take for granted the time, resources and decision an audience member or venue makes when choosing me to bring my artistic interpretation in song. It is a privilege to be present and commit to the musical journey and all in attendance willingly take the ride together.”

One of her greatest joys is providing an ‘experience’. Celebrating life events of those she lovingly calls from (friends/fans).

Mary loves all genres of music and just as easily will perform as a duo accompanied by guitar or keyboard; with a jazz trio or a full 5 piece 2NspireU band!

Her repertoire includes covers by these artists: Stephen Bishop, Captain & Tenielle, Dionne Warwick, Nancy Wilson, Nina Simone, Phyllis Hyman, Rachelle Ferrell, Deniece Williams, Linda Ronstadt., Corrinne Bailey Rae and Sara Bareilles and the list goes on.

Mary is known for a beautiful quote she often shares: “May each space you occupy be better off – simply because YOU passed through.” Her mission statement is 2NspireU – just as it has been from the day she founded 2NspireU, LLC and the 2NspireU band of the same name.

Mary will be performing for the Juneteenth Celebration at Wiggins Park, Camden Waterfront; Willingboro Jazz Fest, and is headlining the CDC Nicetown Festival with a Phyllis Hyman Tribute, Restart the Arts, Winefests and several other events yet to be announced

She has shared the stage with Anthony Avent, Eban Brown (former voice of the Stylistics); Chris Thomas (The Mayor) Comedy Showcases; William Smooth Wardlaw’ (Luther Relives) and she continues to perform to SOLD OUT audiences throughout the tri-state region.

Her highly anticipated debut album is scheduled for release in late 2021 and includes songs written by Israeli Composer Misha Segal and a host of others.

SiSi Dash

Born in Philadelphia, SiSi Dash was raised in one of the city’s first suburbs.

She began her career at age 7, taking voice lessons and singing in the church choir.  In her youth, she took dance lessons at the Philadelphia School of Dance Arts.  Sisi spent a few summers attending camp at the Walnut Street Theatre (America’s oldest theatre) where she learned stage movement and improvisation.  During high school, she participated in Drama and chorus.  Sisi attended Widener University where she held leadership roles on the chorus and Gospel Choir.  During her time at Widener, she volunteered at a local radio station in Chester, PA where she hosted a weekly show.  She continues to volunteer at local community events.  After graduating from Widener with a degree in Business and a minor in Marketing, she held positions with the Philadelphia Eagles as a Marketing/Inside Sales Intern and now in Inside sales at a local company.

Sisi completed her debut recordings of “Good Day” and We’re Incredible” with Grammy-nominated singers/songwriters/producers Helen Bruner and Terry Jones.  She has also worked with grammy nominated songwriter/producer Donald Robinson and recorded “I’ll Be Right There”. In his next collaboration, Mr Robinson tailored the song, “What Ever Happened to Romance” to Sisi's voice.

She debuted in her first local stage play: Rick Watson’s “Secrets, Lies & Betrayal” in 2019 and held her own with veterans like John Canada Terrell and Clayton Prince.  Sisi collaborated with local producer “Gibbs” and her manager, Sandy Dash, to create 8 of the songs on her second release in the form of a 9 song CD entitled “Free”.  It has something for everyone as it includes songs of varying styles (from a sultry duet to an island flavour).

Faith, Family and friends are SiSi’s priority.  God is in her heart and R&B in her soul.  She thanks God for his gifts and favour.  She also sends special thanks to her mother, Sandy Dash for her undying support and management; voice teacher Devonne Gardner for her training and encouragement; and, her fairy godmother, Sarah Dash (founding member of the legendary group “Labelle”) for her introduction to some industry professionals.   Thanks to all SiSi Dash family, friends, and fans.

Meet John 'The Bossman' Hall

Entertainer, Actor, Singer, Dancer

I believe my first talent comes from my personality, full of energy, kindness, devotion, loving, nice, hard-working to please my audience and my family.
At the age of 17, I formed a dancing group called The Flamingo dancers in  1978 and my dance troupe had great success.   First, we were picked up by Channel 6 WPVI TV. in Philadelphia by the AL Albert's SHOWCASE.  From there we appeared as an opening act for Club Harlem in Atlantic City where we were opening act for groups such as Keith Sweat, The Chi-Lites, New Edition, The Intruders, Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, David Beasley's Ebony's, Sister Sledge,  Miss Angela Burton to name a few.
When I was growing up I found out that Russell Thompkins Jr the lead singer for The Stylistics is my cousin.  He used to practice in my mother's basement with his group.  As a little boy, I used to sit down there and listen to them.  Also Steve Green from the group Breakwater is my cousin and  also the first person in my family who  got into the entertainment business was Maurice Gardner lead singer in the group The Dreamlovers whose hit record was 'Darling when we get Married.'  As I got older I used to listen
