Mauree McGavok
Dubbed ‘Soul Kitten’ by Billboard Magazine, the sultry vocals of soulful singer Mauree’ will take you on a journey that will leave you yearning for more.
Currently working on her 3rd CD, Mauree has engaged the most talented musicians and singers in the Midwest for what promises to be a plethora of Soul, Funk, R&B, and jazz hits. Meanwhile, the songs t res s performs at a host of local venues, and private events, and provides
vocal coaching for budding young artists.
As a little girl, Mauree fell in love with country legends such as Tammy Wynette, Lynn Anderson, and Loretta Lynn. But as she grew older, she began to study and emulate R&B greats like Michael Jackson, Natalie Cole, Teena Marie, and Cheryl Lynn. Looking back, she recalls that all she ever wanted to sing. Already serious about her craft at the tender age of 12, she formed a girl group with her sister and two other young girls. Even then, friends and family knew they were witnessing the start of greatness. This wasn't a gimmick - Mauree’ was the real deal.
Now an accomplished musician, some of the greatest artists in the industry have called upon the vocalist to provide background support for concerts all over the world. This impressive list includes Michael Henderson, Jean Carne, Academy Award Nominee Ray Parker Jr. George Johnson of the Brothers Johnson, CeCe Peniston, Martha Wash, Alexander O’Neal, Crystal Waters, Billy Paul, Howard Hewitt, The Emotions, Midnight Star and Sir Nose of Parliament and Funkadelic fame.
Of course, Mauree’s talent isn't limited to background vocals by any stretch of the imagination. The real treat I s watching Mauree’ perform solo. To her credit, she has been the opening act for Comedian Bernie Mac, Roy Ayers, Will Downing, Waymon Tisdale, George Duke, Stanley Clark, Phil Perry, Enchantment, and Soul Supergroup One Way. The list of venues and Fes t s she’s covered includes but isn’t limited to The Jazz Bulls, The Back Room, The Cotton Club, The Green Dolphin, and The Vic Theatre in Chicago as well as the Juneteenth Festival in Tulsa, OK, and Indianapolis Black Expo.
Being such a powerful performer landed her some prominent theatre roles along the way. She had the honour of portraying Ella Fitzgerald in the Chicago Musical ‘Song Diva’ and performed in the off-Broadway musical ‘Imagine Tap’ at the Chicago Theatre. Mauree continues to wow audiences all over the world. Fans say, “She has a voice as strong and sweet as her spirit”. When she hits the stage you are observing real musicianship, with sincere passion and heartfelt delivery.

Maurice Mahon
Maurice Mahon to the Chicago Stage. Maurice Mahon is no stranger to this industry. From the heart of the city, the west side of Chicago, he grew up singing spiritual songs and Rhythm and Blues. His roots in music have allowed him to work with some of the greatest of our time, Tyler Perry, TD Jakes, Kim Fields, Angie Stone, Christopher Williams, Kenny La ’more, Keith Sweat, David Hollister, Kelly Price, and Keke Wyatt, to name a few. In a short time, Maurice Mahon has accomplished much and his accolades as a singer, writer, producer, and actor have made his reach extensive. Being an ambassador of soul music has allowed him to teach Gospel music at Chicago Christ the King College Prep. Chicago Idol winner in 2003, which was sponsored by Clear Channel and Fox paved the way for Maurice Mahon to have a song written and produced by R. Kelly, entitled “Closer”. Maurice did not stop there. He developed his own sound and was able to tour across the country, Europe, and Africa where he lived in Lebanon singing some of the R&B classics to the Lebanese. Maurice formed the New Face of Soul, comprised of Chicago-based musicians. This venture allowed him to open for several mainstream artists such as Joe, Freddie Jackson, Gladys Knight, Carl Thomas, Alicia Keys and Raashan Patterson. This extensive work led up to Maurice working alongside the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson doing prison ministry where he was appointed music director for Saturday morning broadcasts, Operation Push, on impact television. While doing this work, Maurice wrote, directed, and performed the song “I Am Somebody”. Maurice is steadily evolving. Through the pandemic, he wrote and composed several songs, Black Angel, Free, and his hit single, “Find Me”. He continues to soar his musical interests, currently working on an album to be released soon. Maurice Mahon is the New Face of Soul.

RJ Mitchell
RJ Mitchell Born and raised in Chicago, RJ’s passion for music was sparked when he played the drums at just 8 years old. Through the years RJ has written & and recorded over 50 songs, won a host of talent shows and went on a couple of national tours sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in the music industry. Over the years, RJ has added songwriting and promoting to his musical résumé as well. But he continues to shine brightest lending his own exceptional vocals to gospel, R&B, soul, hip hop, pop, punk and rock. In short, he is a dynamic performer who has mastered a diverse medley of musical styles. These days RJ can be witnessed wowing audiences live on stages around Chicago and throughout the Nation...

Antone
Antone hails from the south side of Chicago, where he was raised in a musical family with a strong emphasis on worship. He grew up singing in an A Cappella church choir led by his father, who was also a worship leader. At the young age of five, Antone began taking piano lessons and soon added the trumpet, drums, and saxophone to his repertoire. In high school, he started writing, recording, and producing his own music, and even directed and shot a music video for one of his original songs, despite it being the early 80s. From high school until the present day, Antone has continued to pursue his passion for music, performing, writing, producing, and recording across multiple genres. He has graced hundreds of stages in Chicago and the Midwest, performing as the lead singer for the Associate's Band, choir director, worship leader at his church, and a member of the travelling gospel Quintet, The United Quintet of Chicago. Antone directed the Sheldon Heights Acapella Choir for over two decades, recording seven CDs and winning a Christian Acapella Music Award in 2004. Additionally, he has produced and written four R&B CDs and one gospel CD of his own. Antone's latest project is to release 7 singles throughout 2023. All of them will be showcased on his website and be available on all major streaming platforms. Antone has been increasingly drawn back to the R&B and Soul sounds from his youth. His mantra of using real musicians with real relatable lyrics to produce real R&B has driven his songwriting on these 2023 singles. Antone is also infusing his gospel themes, harmonies, rhythms, and melodic phrasing into his songs. He is excited to continue exploring, revisiting, and reimagining the R&B soul genre and finding new ways to incorporate it into his music.
